If you had the opportunity to ask APC governorship aspirant, Chief Timipre Sylva in 2012 election whether he would give up the fight, he must have told you that there is no retreat, no surrender.
It is the same scenario that is playing out on is involvement at the postponed APC primary in Bayelsa state.
In a press statement by his media aide Comrade Dofie Ola argued that Sylva won the primary election therefore it is not possible for the party to organize a fresh primary for the aspirants again.
The statement described the chairman of the election committee Adams Oshiomhole as mischievous and had compromised with Sylva’s arch-rival Timi Alaibe during the primary election on Tuesday 22 September 2015.
Sylva media aide explained that Oshiomhole pretended to go and eat but he bolted away while the rest members and INEC officials were present when the election took place and he won at the end of the day.
He further stated that Chief Oyegun who is the national chairman of the party lacked the ordercity to cancel the election, adding that a committee must have looked into the disputed result before any cancellation is put to bear. No such thing he said was done therefore he still the winner of the primary election.
This is exactly happen during the 2012 PDP primary election which he claimed to have won but the powers at Abuja denied him of his victory.
Sylva in his volition has said that several injustices were meted against him to rule Bayelsa state in the past.
Political pundits believed that Sylva is a clever man and see this unfolding drama as a legal issue to resolve the impasse.
