Following the failure of Bayelsa United Football Club to qualify to the Premier league this last season, has spurred Monimichelle Sports Facility construction company to organize a football stakeholders confab soon in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.
The Chief Executive-Managing Director of the company, Mr. Ebi Egbe dropped the hint with newsmen at the Sampson Siasia Sports Complex on Wednesday in Yenagoa.
He said he’s worried over why Bayelsa United FC lost to Osun United in their away match which would have qualified them to the premier division.
Based on this sad development in the football sector, the stakeholders meeting would probe into the weak performance by the club and find out their problems and proffer solutions to move the team forward.
This has become imperative as government may have spent a huge sum of money to invest in the team over the years.
Meanwhile, Mr. Egbe is making frantic consultations with various sports stakeholders in the state to ensure that the sports confab becomes a successful one.
Mr. Egbe who is also a Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) match agent in Nigeria is currently putting finishing touches on the turf of the Samson Siasia Sports Complex.
