Bayelsa youths under the aegis of Youths for Democratic Change in Nigeria has again called on Mr. Ebi Egbe aka Money Love to contest the November 16th governorship election in Bayelsa State.
The youth group which has more than ten thousand membership drawn from the eight local government areas of the state also appealed to Mr. Ebi Egbe to heed the clarion call and throw his hat into the ring to rescue the state from the quagmire of stagnation, poverty and underdevelopment.
The chairman of the Youths for Democratic Change in Nigeria, Mr. Tarabina James while bearing his mind on the forthcoming governorship election in an exclusive interview with newsmen in Yenagoa, said the appeal became necessary in view of Mr. Egbe’s antecedents, professional competence, technical capacity, private business expertise, philanthropism and job creation credentials which puts him above other candidates as one who can salvage Bayelsa State.
According to James, the youths are clamouring for Ebi Egbe because they saw in him a youth friendly individual, a youth friendly businessman and a youth friendly Bayelsan who has the competence to steer the affairs of the state to the admiration of Nigerians.
He noted that the organisation is ever prepared to stand with him, work with him to ensure that Mr. Egbe delivers on the mandate to Bayelsans.
His words:” I want to seize this opportunity to call on one of our own, a man we know has demonstrated youth capacity initiative to the admiration of all Bayelsans. We have seen someone who has built his business from scratch to a million dollars conglomerate.
We know a man who has capacity to turn around the fortunes of Bayelsans and that is in the person of Ebi Egbe aka Money Love.”
The chairman of the group added:” I want to seize this opportunity to set the records straight that we have been in discussion with him. We have seized several platforms to appeal to him to obey the clarion call of over 10, 000 youths in Bayelsa State who are indeed happy and expectant that the likes of Ebi Egbe would found themselves in to the race because it will be a win win situation.
Well, he is a man that listens most especially to the youths and let me tell you that we are still engaging positive minds in Bayelsa to take up the responsibility of correcting the abnormalities, the ills, the decadence in our society which is glaring for everyone to see.”
” very faulty security situation in Bayelsa State, education is still not good enough, inadequate health care system and when it comes to the economy it is obviously failing for reasons of the fact that there has been no participation, no drive especially from the private sector and robust encouragement from government.
So we are not tired, we are not giving up yet and the decision is with him and we know before the political window elapses Mr. Ebi Egbe would heed our call and contest the governorship election come November 16. And let me make this categorically clear that Bayelsans will no longer vote party this time around but will sue for individuals that can drive the state forward.”
