Onuebum community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state has called on the Bayelsa state government to develop them with infrastructure.
The chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) Mr. Abhokasi Constant made the clarion call while exchanging views with newsmen in his office recently.
Abhokasi said that even though Onuebum is not noted for her endowments in natural and human resources the sand-rich Ogbia community has been neglected by successive administrations.
Reiterating their resolve to maintaining peace and order, the CDC boss maintained that due to the proximity of Onuebum to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital the peaceful suburb have became so populated hence infrastructure is needed to cater for the daily influx of people.
Amongst the needed infrastructure according to the community leader is not limited to health center alone, but classroom blocks, clean portable drinking water, paved roads, electrification, science laboratory and others.
