Dickson’ 5 years in office is a waste –Kimse Okoko

Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state has come under heavy criticism of his style of leadership describing his five years administration as a waste.
In an interview with a Port Harcourt based newspaper, TNN Today’s News, Prof. Kimse Okoko said he wasted the resources to the state.
The report stressed that Governor Dickson wasted Bayelsa funds to build a flyover bridge by Julius Berger that no fewer than 10 cars passed daily, adding that it is a misplaced priority. He also said that Dickson embarked upon the expansion of Isaac Boro Expressway project and abandoned it and up till now the job is not completed.
The former President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) further opined that Governor Dickson has wasted the resources of the state to the extent that he owes civil servants and pensioners more than 11 months’ salary including Niger Delta University staff, adding that the Sagbama College of Education is only a name, nothing serious is happening there.
He’s only a noise maker, he insists.
According to the report, Governor Dickson has a complex and that the complex is in his bones as he was once in the National Assembly representing Sagbama constituency but he does not bring anything to Sagbama. He asked Dickson to tell Bayelsans if he has not wasted over five years of precious time in Bayelsa state since he became governor.
The report says when Okoko was asked whether Dickson can emerge as Ijaw leader, he said no. He will be lucky to walk the streets of Yenagoa but if he doesn’t change and continues like that to the end, then it will be difficult for Dickson to walk the streets of Bayelsa.
