The Government of Bayelsa state has declared its support for the Bayelsa State Facebook Community (BFC) urging them to organize template to select membership in order to checkmate their activities from being hijacked.
The Special Adviser (SA) to Governor Seriake Dickson on Security Matters, Chief Boma Sparo-Jack stated this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in his office, Yenagoa, when a delegation of the BFC paid him a courtesy visit.
He pointed out that there must be set criteria by the body to select qualified persons for membership.
Sparo-Jack encouraged the social media community to be steadfast if they want to achieve set goals, considering the fact that facebook is world wide website for anybody to say anything without being guided.
He said for the BFC to have wide readership, they must authenticate the genuine information to disseminate for the public to take them seriously.
Earlier, the governor BFC Comr. Esueya Adulphus told the governor’s aide that the community is an umbrella organization which unites all social media practitioners of facebook extraction to attain higher level of
social media practice.
Comrade Adulphus stressed the platform is not only an idea, but as another platform to campaign for the participation of Nigeria youths in active politics.
Barrister Patrick Indaikienyu said the visit is to let the government of the day know their intension to avoid misconception.
