Palpable fear has gripped Governor Henry Seriake Dickson’s led Restoration Government over the completion of critical infrastructural projects in the state.
Speaking at a commissioner nominee screening exercise, the Speaker of Bayelsa state House of Assembly Hon. Konbowei Benson remarked that there is likely fear that all projects will not be completed in the state before 2019.
He also said that there is no visible acceleration of projects for now.
He advised the commissioner nominee, Iworisuo Daniel Markson to work hard to complete projects in any of the ministries he would be assigned.
Governor Dickson in his recent media chat told Bayelsans that no new project will be embarked upon but he may build new health centers in all the wards in the state.
Although nobody knows the number of projects the restoration government of Governor Dickson has embarked upon in the past six years but political stakeholders view at completed projects as veritable tool to win elections.
It is alleged that the restoration government hardly complete abandoned projects by his predecessors since they assumed power in 2012.
For instance, the five Star Tower Hotel embarked upon by former president Goodluck Jonathan and the 500-bed Hospital by late Governor Alamieyeseigha respectively remains abandoned
