The Bayelsa state command of Peace Corps of Nigeria has debunked rumours of sexual harassment making the rounds in some on-line media as character deformation and unwholesome allegations fabricated to smear the image of the state commandant, patriot Michael Ware-Ebi Ogbonah.
Speaking to journalists Wednesday, the trio of the Deputy State Commandant, Administration patriot ThankGod Henry Osunda, state Adjuntant Yaboh Pius Mclean and state Chief finance officer, Rhoda Resident stated that the ongoing rumours may have emanated from some personnel of the command temporarily undergoing disciplinary measures as a result of insubordination, unpatriotism, disloyalty and recalcitrance.
According to the corps bigwigs, the alleged sexual harassment allegations are already being investigated by the serious crime unit of the Nigeria Police, Bayelsa state command. They therefore admonished journalists as well as members of the public to discountenance the publication on line.
The Bayelsa state Command of the Peace Corps of Nigeria while reiterating their willingness to discharge their duties as patriotic citizens of a responsible security agency said they have found in their state commandant a responsible and God fearing leader worthy of emulation in all ramifications, stressing that the publication is a figment of imagination.
