A 36- year-old youth has clinched a commissioner post in Governor Dickson's executive arm thereby increasing the number of youths in his cabinet.
One of the commissioner nominees, Mr. Ebipadei Gabriel Akpaingolo has described the Bayelsa youth as focused, energetic and serious minded in readiness for the involvement of leadership.
While addressing newsmen at his Yenagoa residence shortly after scaling through the Bayelsa State House of Assembly (BSHA) screening, the nominee said it is the Lord’s doing.
Akpaingolo said, "I am overwhelmed with joy as the Governor
demonstrated his concern for youths to come into positions of trust."
It could recalled that few weeks ago a 33- year- old youth, Mr. Ibarakumo Otobo was appointed commissioner for youths, and now another 36-year- old now appointed.
Akpaingolo explained further that, "my appointment is an unprecedented action and a deliberate intervention on Youths Development, which is aimed at advancing the course of youths in the state."
Mr. Ebipadei Gabriel Akpaingolo was nominated by the Governor of the state and screened by the BSHA alongside, Funkazi Koroyei and Faith Opuene, all was sworn in Thursday.
Also to be sworn in are members of the Bayelsa state Primary Health Care Agency (BPHC), Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital Board (NDUTHB) and Bayelsa state Hospital Management Board (BYHMB).
