The Bayelsa State Chairman of Accord Party (AD), Mr. Victor Fisin has given reason for the suspension of the Party's House of Representative Primaries till Saturday October 6, 2018.
According to the State Chairman, the suspension was to give room for the new members to meet up the criteria to also run and to give alevel playing ground for all to contest.
Mr. Fisin said this shortly after the party primaries, done by affirmation in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State capital, for that of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Candidacy and that of the Nigeria
House of Senate.
For the State House Assembly, it was Mr. Imomotimi Joseph Odugo, Southern Ijaw constituency 1 and for Senate, Comr. Owopele Inorekumo Bayelsa West Senatorial District.
Information reaching us indicated that the suspension was as a result of Alhabo George Turnah who have gone to the Party Head Quarters Abuja to purchase the Party's House of Representatives Expression of Interest and Nomination form after being muzzled out of the race by stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
Fisin expressed optimism that the Party will take over power in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Senate and Governorship in 2019.
He called on Party faithfuls to be steadfast as gone are the days when few persons will seat and write up election results.

for deceit as usual.
He called on the people of Bayelsa State to vote wisely and protect their votes against all odds and warned against the practice of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), conniving with security Personnel whom allegedly manipulated Osun and Ekiti State

On his part, Comr. Owopele Inorekumo said, the Party's decision toemploy direct primaries was for the best interest of the people andgives room for members to decide their flag bearers to fly the flag in the general election.
Owopele described the process as free, fair, transparent and credible frowning at some other parties whom conducted their primary elections at night and as such was characterised by violence.
Owopele added that, it is only a secret cult that commence their activities at night, calling on Bayelsans to be wary of such political parties.
