NDU Alumni Pledges 100 per cent support for Barr. Festus Daumiebi.

The National president of Niger Delta University Alumni Association,Barr. Opuowei Daniel Zitimiyola has pledged to galvanize 100% votes for members as well as NDU students to ensure that Barr. Festus Daumiebi emerged victorious at the forth coming polls.

Barr.Opuowei made the pledge at a dinner party organized by the All progressive Congress (APC)senatorial candidate for Bayelsa central, Barr.Festus Daumiebi for members of the Alumni in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.

According to the NDU president the resolve to totally support Barr.Festus is not because he is an Alumni of the Niger Delta University, but based on his proven integrity, competence and ability to deliver the dividend of democracy if elected.

He noted that with such a caliber of Barr.Daumiebi as a senator in the Red chamber, the dearth of infrastructure in the institution will be addressed, adding that the APC candidate represent the voice of the university.
The APC senatorial candidate for Bayelsa central, Barr.Festus Daumiebi in his remarks thanked members of the Alumni for their support thus far and appealed for more support to enable him win come 16th February 2019.

Barr.Daumiebi promised to institute a  scholarship scheme for students in Bayelsa central senatorial district when elected, emphasizing that 50 students from each of the senatorial district will benefit from a full scale scholarship.

He said that at the end of his first term at the Senate he would have graduated over 100 students as he will float an Education fund to sustain  the education of the students after leaving office as a senator.

Development commission(NDDC) said,Barr.Festus has contributed immensely to the growth of the Alumni and hence, the need for all members irrespective of political divide to rally around him to give him the necessary support come February 16th 2019.
