Dickson cries wolf, accuse APC, INEC of rigging Bayelsa Polls

The outgoing Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson has cried wolf accusing the APC of rigging 2019 Bayelsa governorship election with INEC officials.
He stated this at a press conference in Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state recently in Yenagoa.

He stressed that there was no collation done in Ogbia, Nembe and Southern Ijaw LGAs but rather pre-written results were used by the APC with the aid of federal power.

“What happened in Bayelsa State is a brazen rip of our democracy. We came, we saw and we made a difference and that difference will be here for a long time”.

“We have built more roads, schools and hospitals than any other government. I want you to know that I am the very first Governor that has ruled in opposition” Dickson.

He further said that there was nothing that could be done to prevent INEC and security forces from being unprofessional. And anybody who would have been the PDP candidate would have suffered the same fate.

Following the development, the governor advised his party stakeholder, stalwarts and supporters not to resort to violence because violence is not the solution.

“I have never as a politician given out money to procure arms and ammunitions for elections” he added.

“We have returned to the days were people are being exiled. We appeal that the federal government should reduce the use of arms and ammunitions in Bayelsa state elections” Dickson.
